Kapela vznikla v roce 1998 díky Jaredu Letovi (zpěv, kytara) a jeho bratrovi Shannonovi (bubny) v jižní Kalifornii. Později se k nim připojil Matt Wachter (basa). Nakonec kapelu doplnil Tomo Milicevic.
