Kapela Ministry vznikla v roce 1981 v Chicagu. Založil ji Al Jourghensen . Syntetický pop kapely se koncem 80.let mění na tehdy neznámý industrial metal. Velkou měrou se o to přičinil Paul Barker, který přišel do Ministry z kapely Blackouts...
